FRANCIS LEO MARCOS IN THE EYES OF CRITICS

THE STORY

As days go by in the time of this pandemic, Francis Leo Marcos never stopped extending help to the needy, especially for food. This was his promise when he happened to see families and other people alongside the streets of Manila. It can be recalled that he has been doing philanthropic activities as early as 2007 through his foundations, with his friends and relatives.

SOCIAL MEDIA

With this, Francis Leo Marcos gained massive attention through social media. His first media appearance was when he and two of his men went live on Facebook buying sacks of rice and other goods from a Department Store, cooked, packed, and distributed it to the people including front liners implementing the lockdown guidelines. This was also the time when he challenged his neighbors in Green Meadows Subdivision to also come out and do something, for the government may not sustain the food allowance all over the country. This caused irritation to his neighbors, and few individuals started coming out in the media full of criticisms and allegations directed to him. 

When his Facebook Page was taken down the next day, he shifted to YouTube to continue airing his activities and the MAYAMAN CHALLENGE(Challenge For The Rich). He amazingly gained one million subscribers within one month and a week, without first knowing that YouTube pays its members after meeting its two primary requirements- at least One Thousand subscribers and Four Thousand watch hours. He is now monetized with about One Million Seventy Thousand plus subscribers up to this time.

THE CRITICS

As expected, critics are piling up doing all means to discredit, raise negative issues, and libelous accusations against his activities and personality. One sad thing is that these critics keep trying to connect him to the Marcoses, since he is using the last name, MARCOS, Marcos. Francis Leo Marcos warned his critics for their libelous attacks and he will be meeting them all in the proper court soon.

                                      

There were attempts by Radio Station hosts interviewing Bongbong Marcos asking if he knows or if he is related with Francis Leo Marcos, but the latter denied any because ever since there were persons claiming that they are a son or brother of the late President Ferdinand Marcos, or they are the real Bongbong Marcos. 

Politics is divided into two large groups in the Philippines. One is the SOLID MARCOSES who also support the leadership of President Duterte and a smaller group who are supporters of the Liberal Party or what we call here as the Yellows. Few MARCOS Supporters abhor what Francis Leo Marcos is doing, which is giving his all in today's time of the pandemic. They feel bad because of the reality that they are jealous or they just can not accept that there is one person doing greater things compared to what they can only do. A CRAB MENTALITY running in the veins of few Filipinos.
